About The Book: The book provides a comprehensive view of Energy Security of Russia and Central Asia in 21st Century. It analyses the concept of energy security, major issues and challenges of energy security of Russia and Central Asia both from domestic and foreign policy perspective. Here substantial light has been thrown not only on the theoretical framework of energy security concept, but also conflict and cooperation between Russia and Central Asia and other major powers in the sphere of energy. It gives a special focus on the relevance of energy security in 21st Century from the perspective of Russia, Central Asia and the world after the disintegration of the Soviet Union. The book concludes with a positive note highlighting on the vision of Russia and Central Asia’s energy security future in Eurasian region and how Russia and Central Asian states are playing key role in the global energy security sphere and gradually emerging as “Energy Super Powers” in the coming decades. About The Author: Dr. Amarendra Mishra is a First Class Post Graduate in Political Science. He did his M. Phil and Ph.D in International Studies with specialization in Russian and Central Asian Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He topped in the Odisha State Fellowship test conducted by JNU and was awarded fellowship in the academic year 1989-90. He also cleared NET in Political Science conducted by UGC. He worked in an American research project with Prof. Anand Mohan, former Professor in the City University, New York, USA. Dr. Mishra who is extremely articulate and erudite has participated and presented research papers in national and international conferences and contributed several articles to reputed research journals.
